Privacy at inak.co
This page says what this site collects, why, where it lives, who can see it, how long it stays, and how to have it removed. It is short on purpose.
inak.co is a Lēdor Labs project, run by Rodel Oiga in Brooklyn, New York. Everything you send through this site is stored for us by Cloudflare, the company that hosts the site, in a database only we can open.
How to have your information removed
Send one email to hello@inak.co. No form, no account, no explanation needed. We delete what you sent within 7 days, including the short notification copy in our own inbox, and we write back to confirm. You can also ask what we hold from you, and we will tell you. Copies held in the platform’s backups age out on its normal rotation.
If you share your experience
We collect the email address you give us, your name if you choose to give it, and anything you choose to write in the optional boxes. We use it for one thing: to reply and, if you agree, arrange an interview. Only Rodel can read what you wrote, through a password-protected page, and only to reply to you. The email that tells us a share arrived does not include anything you wrote, only that one arrived. What you send is never published, sold, or given away. If you change your mind, in any words, through any channel, what you sent is deleted within 7 days. We keep shares while interviews are being arranged. A year after yours arrived, a person reviews it and deletes it, unless we are still in touch with you about an interview. Reviews and deletions here are done by a person, not by a timer.
If you get updates
We collect your email address, and nothing else about you. We send nothing until you click the confirmation link we email you. After that, updates go only to confirmed addresses, and while you stay subscribed we keep your address so we can write to you. Every update has an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough: the mail stops at once, and your address is then deleted by hand within 30 days. It is not kept on any list after that. An address that never confirms is deleted within 30 days. If you would rather have everything deleted sooner, the email at the top of this page does it within 7 days.
If you write to us as a partner
We collect your name, your email address, your organization if you give it, what you are interested in, and your message. We use it only to reply. We keep it while the conversation is live. A year after it arrives, a person reviews it and deletes it if the conversation has closed. Writing to us never puts your name or your organization’s name anywhere public; that would take a separate agreement with you.
What this site never collects
No details about the people you care for: no names, no conditions, no addresses, no schedules, no health information about anyone. No accounts and no passwords. No street addresses, from anyone, ever.
The prototype, and one honest exception
Nothing you type into the prototype is collected, stored, or sent anywhere by inak.co. It stays in your browser. The exception is the prototype’s lettering: it loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so when you open that page, your browser asks Google for the lettering and Google receives the technical information any browser sends with a request, such as your internet address. inak.co does not receive that information and does not use it. No other page on this site loads anything from Google.
Stopping spam
When a form is sent, we keep a scrambled count of where it came from for about an hour, so the site can refuse floods of fake submissions. It is never joined to what you sent, and it is never used for anything else.
How visits are counted
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits, as totals. It sets no cookies for counting, builds no profiles of individual visitors, and there are no advertising trackers on this site. We also count how many forms are sent, from our own records, again only as totals. What you write in a form is never part of those counts. Like any website, our host handles the technical information your browser sends in order to deliver the pages at all.
If something goes wrong
If the information this site holds is ever exposed, we will tell the people affected, promptly and in plain language.
If this page changes
If a practice described here ever needs to change, this page changes first, before the practice does.
